Implementation of a Novel Variable Structure Nearest Level Modulation on Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter

چکیده

The output voltage of a Multilevel Inverter (MLI) can be controlled using various low and high frequency modulation strategy. Apart from meeting the load demand, strategy also tries to reduce harmonics present in waveform. In this paper, novel strategy, Variable Structure Nearest Level Modulation (VSNLM) has been proposed with objective Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) thus giving better quality smoother control. development mathematical model subsequent analysis carried out. Moreover, scheme implemented on 7, 9, 11, 13 level Cascaded H Bridge inverter generalized developed. A comparison conventional NLC is presented paper. results confirm superior performance terms THD. Experimental have for validation.
